To assist the Transport Supervisor in the day to day running of the Johannesburg Warehouse and assist Satellite Branches where necessary.
Liaise with the drivers and assist when required to maintain the efficient delivery of services.
Skills, Experience and Education:
ØMust have experience of working within Pharma Logistics warehouse environment.
ØProven ability to work well under time pressure.
ØDemonstrates excellent problem solving skills and initiatives.
ØIntermediate MS Office skills.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
ØMonitor and actively assist the Transport Supervisor with stock levels at Johannesburg HQ (Kempton Park Office) and satellite facilities so that assurance of supply for all packaging systems and equipment required for packaging services are provided at the desired time and in the desired manner.
ØEnsure orders/packaging dispatches are processed in the most cost effective and timely manner to meet customer timescales/requirements.
ØMaintenance of all reusable packaging systems to include receipt scanning, inspection of components, cleaning and conditioning. Capture any non-conformities/deviations and escalate to Transport Supervisor.
ØStorage of Vehicles – ensure that each vehicle is stored in the most risk-free manner on a nightly basis – either inside or in the full view of security cameras.
ØDriver Attire – ensure this is maintained and provided within company guidelines and drivers adhere to this policy at all times.
ØProvide a safe & clean working environment, adhering to Health & Safety procedures at all times, ensuring these are understood and practiced by all persons accessing the warehouse.
ØEnsure warehouse security procedures are adhered to at all times and maintain 100%.
ØMaintenance of all storage logs to 100% accuracy, and warehouse check sheet is completed daily. Report any discrepancies to Transport Supervisor.
ØAssist Transport Supervisor with the end of day dispatch and correctly label freight to enable freight check procedures to be completed.
ØEnsure Fridges, Freezers and Warm Room temperatures are checked and remain within prescribed parameters and maintain accurate records thereof and replenished on a regular basis and when required.
ØPlan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt and storage of all packaging in designated areas.
ØOrganise, monitor and control goods in/out operations to ensure all "live" shipments are held/stored in the designated areas and all shipment logs are up to date and accurate.
ØIdentify improvement opportunities to bring about operational efficiencies, cost reductions or service enhancements and implement accordingly.
ØEnsure that all customer specific work instructions/SOP''s/procedures are always adhered to.
