SUMMARY:
An international company within the hardware and retail space is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team in Johannesburg

We specialize in placing professionals in the Logistics, Supply Chain and Planning sector and our clients are consistently looking for a career driven candidates with technical skills. My client is searching for a Warehouse Manager with a stable track record with at least 7 years’ experience at one company to join their team in JHB.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role:
The potential candidate must have extensive management experience, must oversee the entire inbound, storage and outbound warehouse function, must be analytical with good planning skills.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Matric or Diploma in Distribution or Supply Chain
5 – 8 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager within retail and hardware environment
5 years management experience with a stable track record
Planning experience
Experience working in an inbound and outbound warehouse environment
Must have the ability to optimise warehouse infrastructure – space and materials handling – minimise potential constraints and minimise risk.
Optimise efficiencies and stock rotation
Arrange transport as required by the team and customers
Monitor transporter’s compliance with service level agreement
Ensure physical security of premises, stock, and equipment
Track and expedite orders
Plan both warehouse space for stock allocation
