Job Description:

My client seeks a Warehouse and Service Manager to lead and optimize both warehouse operations and service functions. This role encompasses managing the warehouse''''s daily activities, including inventory control, order processing, and logistics coordination. The manager will ensure the efficient handling and storage of products while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. In addition, the role involves overseeing the service department, including scheduling and supervising maintenance and repair work on forklifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and technical expertise in forklift maintenance. Effective communication and leadership abilities are essential for driving team performance and achieving operational excellence.

Duties include:

Services Planning and Sales – this is for forklift services and maintenance and new forklift sales

Services Quotes – quote customers for their forklift services and repairs

Workshop and Mechanics Management – Internal and External

Warehouse Management:

Stock Control and Stock Takes

Stock Procurement

Spares Sales and Quotes

Warranty Claims

Client Services and Relationships

Requirements:

Must have similar experience in a warehousing and management role.

Must have valid driver’s license

Must communicate well

The following experience are required:

1. Warehouse Management Experience: Proven track record in overseeing warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and processes is crucial.

2. Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with forklifts and related equipment, including understanding maintenance and repair requirements. Previous experience in a service or technical role involving forklifts is highly beneficial.

3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team, including training staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring productivity. Strong interpersonal skills for effective team management and conflict resolution are important.

4. Operational Efficiency: Experience in implementing and improving operational procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high safety standards in the warehouse and service areas.

5. Customer Service: Background in delivering excellent customer service, addressing client concerns, and ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of service issues.

6. Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards specific to warehouse operations and forklift service. Experience in maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to industry standards.

7. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational and technical issues promptly and effectively.

8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and other stakeholders efficiently.
