Waste Operator

SUMMARY:
JOB PURPOSE 

Assistance and operations of the waste management facility in compliance with the company policies.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Properly operate the waste treatment equipment in the Recycling Center
• Reporting any malfunction of waste treatment equipment and tools to the Environmental Compliance Officer or to the Waste Management Lead 
• Separate, handle and store waste in the Recycling Centre and permitted areas
• When permitted and advised by the Environmental Compliance Officer or following the Chief Waste Operator instructions assigned in accordance with the Environmental 
• Compliance Officer directions, perform the discharge at sea of the comminuted food waste in compliance with the applicable regulations
• Ensure the recovery and storage of the incinerator ash from the incinerator
• Perform the waste offloading operations according to the relevant instructions
• Ensure that all the operations are carried out in compliance with the Environmental, Health and Safety requirements

• Language Capability Proficient in English
• Any additional languages, particularly European languages is considered an advantage
• 1 year working experience in a similar role or position 
• Must have knowledge of pest control

• Valid South African Passport
• Police Clearance
