JOB DESCRIPTION

The Weighbridge Operator primary purpose is to provide support at the weighbridge in the yard. He/she will also have to:

• Weigh in customers and SAM vehicles
• Be responsible for the grading of purchased material
• Identify inferior material
• Be responsible for the weighing and dispatching of all purchased ferrous and non-ferrous material
• Keep stock and dispatch record
• Assist yard supervisor
• Assist customers and customer queries

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

• A minimum Grade 12 certificate
• 2 years working experience
• Computer literate – MS Office, internet and e-mail
• Ability to work neatly and clearly when capturing data and filing electronically
• Ability to process data quickly and accurately
• Must be good with figures
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a multi-tasking environment
