SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Welder for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Grade 12 with 3+ years’ experience in welding work (MIG, TIG, ARC, CO2)
• Able and willing to carry out steel fabrication tasks
• Knowledge of tools, general engineering equipment and calculations
• Steel pipe work, flanges and structural steel experience
• Able to read and follow drawings
• Completed welding apprenticeship and forklift license would be an advantage
• Willing to work short notice overtime, as well as Saturdays and late hours when required
• Must be physically fit and reliable as there are penalties for projects delivered late
• Candidates resident near to Gonubie would be ideal
• Must have good English communication skills
• Must be willing to do practical test at interview

• Welding duties: MIG, TIG, ARC & CO2
• Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions
• Weld and assemble metal pieces and products
• Work from specifications and drawings
• Welding, cutting, grinding and cleaning metal
• Operate safety equipment and maintain safety standards
