The Field Inspections Division is currently sourcing for the position of Welding Inspector (Technical,  Level 1) 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to coordinate inspections
• Draft proposals and work orders
• Understanding of the Pressure equipment regulation
• Review reports
• Discuss and agree inspection scope of work
• Coordinate, monitor and prepare procedures for approval
• Complies  with all health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Work closely with the Project Manager and report any deviations regarding the project 

SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES

• Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection and take action to address the hazard.
• Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and take action to address the issue.
• Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Grade 12 and/or related post-matric qualification
• Two to four years of experience in the Quality Control Industry.
• Prepare, update and follow up production documents
• Familiarity with regulations, testing codes and standards preferred.
• General technical capabilities for maintenance of equipment
• General computer Literacy
• Driver’s License and Own Transport
• Preferrably based in Cape Town
