JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking to recruit for a Welding/Boilermaker Assessor who is registered with the MERSeta to deliver range of training programmes that meet the emerging skills demand for Automotive Repairs. This is a part-time role.Requirements• Welding Technical Qualification OR a Boilermaker Technical Qualification• Accredited Assessor with the MERSeta• Accredited Facilitator with ETDP• Panel Beating or Panel Repair experience desirableRole DescriptionThe role of the Welding/Boilermaker Assessor is to deliver, assess and where necessary offer support to learners engaged in Automotive Repair Welding course that has an NQF Level 3 Certification, in accordance with the MERSeta guidelines.The role includes the delivery and assessment of welding material and ensuring compliance with all associated practices and standards.Duties and Responsibilities• To deliver and assess welding courses for NQF Level 3.• To assessing learner understanding, skill and evaluate progression.• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures as defined by the MERSeta• To review course content and delivery methods on a regular basis.• Assume responsibility for meeting his/her course and learner performance goals.
Requirements• Have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in facilitation and assessing• Have a minimum of three (3) years’ technical experience as a Professional Welder/Boilermaker• High proficiency in demonstrating and assessing MAG Welding, MIG Brazing and Spot Welding of thin materials (1mm – 2mm thickness)• Have technical understanding OR practical experience in panel beating• Hold a related qualification in Welding/Boilermaking• Hold an assessor qualification• Have sound knowledge of welding principles and practices aligned to the industry standard
• Computer Literacy
• Effective Communicator, both orally, and in writing, with learners, employers and other professionals including the use of both English and Afrikaans languagesAdditional Requirements• Willing to travel nationally• Have own vehicle for local travel within the Gauteng province• Immediately Available
