Workshop Foreman (Motorcycle)

SUMMARY:
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our staff, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. Your role will focus on maximising service sales and profitability by building customer confidence in our dealership through exceptional service.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor workshop profitability, ensuring effective workshop planning.
• Plan workshop production based on staff availability and productivity.
• Address escalated workshop technical problems promptly and effectively.
• Evaluate serviced vehicles and assist in parts ordering.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the workshop.
• Coordinate training for service staff.
• Provide feedback to workshop staff on individual performance.
• Control work in progress on vehicles to maintain acceptable levels.
• Manage financial and non-financial risks within the department.
• Drive personal and professional development.

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• Qualified Vehicle Technician.
• 5 years' workshop experience in a dealership as a Technician.
• Supervisory/Foreman experience in a workshop - highly advantageous.
• Ability to effectively manage a team - essential.
• Motorcycle license - essential.
