SUMMARY:
As a planner, you are required to purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, lead times, and HSE protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors capable of supplying technical goods and services required by the company.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve the best value for the company.
• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.

 Technical Procurement:

• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to understand requirements and specifications for technical products and services.
• Source and procure a wide range of technical materials, components, equipment, and services according to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Evaluate product samples, technical data, and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards and performance requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and market dynamics to inform procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Supply Chain Management:

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to prevent shortages and production delays.
• Implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce lead times, and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as shortages, price fluctuations, or geopolitical factors.

 Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules.
• Generate reports on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, vendor performance, and inventory levels, to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
