SUMMARY:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsible to organize & administrate all aspects of daily warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, stocking, inventory movements including cycle count, and efficient use of space, issuing, dispatching to locations, facilities and housekeeping.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Education level:
Minimum High School preferred( Matric ) with Math's and Accounting or Physics

Experience:
3 years' experience in manufacturing/logistics company as warehouse keeper. With experience in Receiving and Inventory in a high SKU environment i.e. SKU of a few thousand and ideally gained in a spare parts / MRO , Automotive Agricultural or Engineering

Specific knowledge, skill, ability, and requirements:

Knowledge of material handling equipment with the ability to multitask and respond effectively to both internal and external customers.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
high computer and systems literacy .
Demonstrated abilities with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook and extensive experience on an ERP System focused on Receiving and Inventory modules( preferably QAD, SAP or other) .
Practical knowledge of MRP will be a plus. Must possess good typing skills and be a good team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision and overtime if so required

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order & reports shortages & incomplete order.
 Receive, unpack materials and supply as needed.
 Control complete and accurate inventory.
 Keep detailed record of non performing suppliers against the metrics provided
 Check receipt source documents and systems order ; ensure zero shortages, defects
 Ensure accurate completion of all activities related to the goods receipt process e.g. GRN (Goods Receipts Notes)
 Receipt and processing on QAD (ERP System)
 Do Put away and regular put away accuracy checks
 Creation of products bar codes, bin locations, maintenance, and routing.
 Strict usage of RF scanning
 Stock returns and claims handling
 Prepare and execute daily cycle counts
 Investigation of cycle count discrepancies
 Prevent receipt faults e.g. GRN, Cost, Quantity etc. and assist finance and procurement with resolving exceptions weekly and on month end closure
 Prepare reports, and recommends options for defective or unusable items (In process quality management)
 Operates Forklift safely
 Maintain a clean and safe warehouse with regular audits. Maintain bins, racks, computers and peripherals, warehouse infrastructure, forklifts, vehicles and all other equipment in excellent condition.
 Adhere to all safety standards and actively support SHE initiatives including hazards, suggestion , SIF
 Actively participate in LEAN initiatives
 Assist with preparation of stock counts and audits and ensure zero audit findings as a result of receiving practices
 Before start of work ensures that, there is no hazard in your area of work or in the surroundings. Report to your supervisor immediately in case you observe presence of hazard (A source of potential damage or Injury).
 Willingness to assist in other areas of the business when so required including overtime

Knowledge of standard & guidelines related to ( ISO-9001:2015- Quality Management System, ISO-14001:2015- Environmental Management System, ISO-45001:2018- Occupational Health and Safety Management System) is a strong recommendation

Independence: Reporting to the Store Supervisor; Operating with broad objectives and with independent choice of methods in line with the division's mission statement.
