Job & Company Description:
The client has a global footprint with offices in SA, Africa and Australia. They are looking for passionate software engineers to join their team. They are currently busy modernising their wide range of products and therefore their team is growing. They have a cracking team of fully-qualified engineers, using the latest technologies and tools to deliver new and innovative products within the manufacturing industry. Their products are exported to 70 countries worldwide and a track record spanning over three decades. They are leaders within their industry and has won multiple Excellence Awards - it is all about R&D, innovation and automation. Their engineers are involved in both software development as well as embedded, firmware and hardware design.
 
You will be responsible for translating specifications into innovative solutions, solving complex problems, modifying and enhancing certain parts of the products as well as mentoring junior staff.
 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
BEng in Computer and Electronic Engineering or BSc in Computer Science
Excellent skills in mathematics
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a software engineering role
In depth knowledge of the relevant software development environments.
Good understanding of software development methodologies.
Experience using Xamarin, C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core and MVC
Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
Azure experience will be an added advantage
Excellent understanding of OOP
Microservices experience
Other technologies:
T-SQL, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, DevExpress, WPF, Postgres
Extensive experience with Restful API integrations
