Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Computer Technician to join our client’s team and provide technical support and maintenance services. This role is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about IT and eager to gain work based experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, set up, diagnose, and repair PCs and other hardware and software components.
• Test and repair faulty IT equipment, including switches, gateways, routers, and PCs.
• Assist with basic networking and IT support tasks.
• Install, configure, and maintain software applications.
• Perform troubleshooting to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Prepare basic network and IT support reports.
• Document detailed and timely technical notes and fault reports.

Qualifications

• Matric – minimum N5
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+ (or similar networking certification).
• CCNA certification is advantageous.
• CompTIA S+ (Security) Certification is a plus.

Skills

• Proven ability to assemble, diagnose, and repair PCs, as well as handle customer service support cases.
• Experience working with computers in a technical or support capacity.
• Exposure to networking principles and IT support tasks.
• Basic programming knowledge to assist with troubleshooting and IoT integrations.
• Familiarity or interest in IoT devices and their applications.
